Elizabeth Nebergall (Art) (Letters)

Writing has been Bettie Nebergall’s spare-time hobby since she penned her first story at age 12. Although her feature articles appeared in newspapers and trade publications for 25 years, other facets of life always took priority.
Finally, after failed attempts at retirement in rural Kansas, Colorado’s foothills and Costa Rica, she and her husband moved to central Florida determined to make it stick. Maybe it would have worked if she had chosen differently, but she decided to experiment with fiction. And stepped from a black and white world into Oz. In order to learn how to express herself in this new language, she joined the Florida Writers Association and began attending writer’s groups around Orlando.
Her fate was sealed. Her first short story was selected for inclusion in the Florida Writer's Association (FWA) 2012 anthology, "My Wheels." Her second story won a place in FWA’s 2013 Collection, “It’s A Crime.” Then another story earned First Place in the prestigious Royal Palm Literary Awards. Now, she’s managing a website, preparing entries for the 2014 competition and working on a book of stories for Kindle. Another retirement up in smoke!
