Beatrice Athanas (Art)

Beatrice Athanas, realistic painter of european landscapes, was born in Germany and has traveled and lived in Europe, South America and the Caribbean.
She is a graduate at Helene-Lange Lycee in Hamburg which was instrumental in introducing her to the arts and foreign languages.
She came to the United States in 1971, and continued her arts education through studio classes at Crealde Art School in Winter Park, Fl, oil painting instruction from noted New York artist Gregg Kreutz, the late Ralph L. Bagley of Winter Park, her friend and mentor for many years, the late Clayton Martindale of Orlando, and many workshops with contemporary American and French master painters.
The inspiration for her paintings come from her many travels, special moments from her past and present, scenes from her childhood, experiences from her days in private aviation.
Her work is versatile in style and subject matter. Her passion for her art shows in the use of vibrant colors, various brush stroke techniques and the light that reflects her mood towards the subject.
