Joyce Brady (Art)
Joyce Brady's artist endeavors began after retiring as an administrator from the Detroit Public School System. She now lives in Florida and has her "art studio" in a screened porch that looks out into her garden. Enjoying the beauty of nature inspires her to explore the wonderful avenues of creativity. Her favorite quote is - "Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun.
Her artistic interest, focus and passion have led her to create exquisite beaded art jewelry. Bead weaving and embroidery are essential elements of her work. The jewelry pieces are embellished with beads, featuring semi-precious stones, crystals, pearls, art glass and pewter. Other decorative adornments may include shells, metal pieces, silver/gold/copper leaf, ceramic pieces and terracotta tiles to form unique necklaces and coordinating earrings. Her art jewelry combines fundamentals of art, design and craft, bringing together a visually unified entity that is uniquely beautiful and functional.
