ARTIST STATEMENT
I am intrigued with making a 2-dimensional art form have the illusion of a 3-dimensional art form. I enjoy making the subject pop off the canvas. It is also interesting experimenting with the effect of a subject from different angles. I find my own subjects and layout my own design and composition either in finding the right positioning of what to paint or creating a design from a reference of a subject. The tropical subject with their vivid, bold, and alive colors of Florida and the tropics are my favorites. My goal is to make the canvas come alive with vibrant colors. Creating art is a need I cannot ignore; it is instinctive like breathing.
